What You Will Do
  • Build Workforce Training Systems
    • Design and implement structured training frameworks supporting hourly employees, technical roles, supervisors, and salaried leaders
    • Develop competency-based training matrices aligned with safety, quality, and operational requirements
    • Create scalable training systems that allow plant-level delivery with divisional consistency
    • Establish onboarding and skill progression programs that support cross-training and workforce flexibility
  • Strengthen Manufacturing Knowledge & Capability
    • Develop training programs that deepen understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, and material movement
    • Translate complex production processes into clear, structured learning programs
    • Support cross-functional learning initiatives covering quality systems, production scheduling, and operational performance drivers
  • Support Process Documentation & Standardization
    • Partner with Quality and Operations to develop training documentation, work instructions, and reference materials
    • Assist in standardizing procedures to ensure knowledge retention, compliance, and cross-site consistency
    • Support document control and knowledge capture processes that strengthen operational continuity
  • Integrate Quality & Compliance Training
    • Align workforce training systems with ISO, VDA, and IATF quality management standards
    • Support audit readiness through training documentation, competency validation, and tracking
    • Integrate quality, safety, and compliance requirements into training architecture
  • Develop Leaders & Training Delivery
    • Deliver select programs supporting onboarding, leadership development, and technical skill growth
    • Create train-the-trainer programs enabling plant leaders and subject matter experts to deliver standardized training
    • Coach leadership teams on workforce development strategies and training program execution
  • Drive Continuous Improvement
    • Assess workforce skill gaps and develop targeted development plans
    • Measure training effectiveness using operational performance metrics and workforce indicators
    • Support development of internal career pathways and workforce planning strategies

What You Bring
  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Education, or related field preferred
    • 5+ years of experience developing training programs in manufacturing, automotive, transportation, or regulated production environments
    • Experience building structured training systems or competency-based development programs
  • Manufacturing & Industry Knowledge
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing production environments and operational workflows
    • Experience supporting ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or VDA quality environments preferred
    • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and standardized work concepts
  • Training & Development Expertise
    • Proven ability to design instructional content, competency models, and scalable training programs
    • Experience building cross-training programs and workforce skill progression frameworks
    • Knowledge of adult learning principles and workforce development strategies
  • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Strong ability to partner across HR, Operations, Quality, and Engineering leadership
    • Experience influencing change and driving adoption of training programs across multiple sites
