Job description


A leading services company in Kansas is seeking a Global Automation Engineer to join their team in Johnson County. In this role, the Global Automation Engineer will oversee automation across three manufacturing plants in North America, focusing on enhancing production efficiency for food products.



About the Opportunity:



  • Schedule: Full-time

  • Hours: Regular hours

  • Setting: Onsite (located in New Century, Kansas 66031)



Responsibilities:



  • Delivering factory automation projects

  • Supporting capital projects as an automation and OT expert

  • Driving digital transformation initiatives

  • Building and maintaining OT support systems

  • Enhancing OT network security and standardizing practices

  • Performing other duties, as needed



Qualifications:



  • 8+ years of experience in Industrial Automation Engineering

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering

  • Proficient with Siemens and Allen-Bradley control platforms

  • Experience with SCADA systems and OT architectures

  • Knowledge of MES and industrial cybersecurity principles

  • Strong communication skills

  • Problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams



Desired Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering
