Job Summary:
M.S. Walker, Inc. is a family-owned wine and spirits importer and distributor. The Process & Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise automations to improve operational reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain automated workflows across core systems including Paycor, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Encompass, and other approved enterprise platforms.
• Design and support automations using tools such as Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Celigo, scripting, and AI-assisted configuration techniques.
• Support employee lifecycle automation including onboarding, role changes, and offboarding by configuring workflows for access, permissions, and license assignment in coordination with Infrastructure & Security.
• Translate documented business processes and requirements into working, production-ready automations.
• Partner with Business Architecture & Reporting to implement future-state process designs while adhering to technical and operational standards.
• Support integration configurations using approved connectors and tools, without owning core APIs or integration architecture.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automations to ensure reliability and business adoption.
• Document workflows, assumptions, dependencies, and support handoffs to ensure sustainability.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deploy and support automation initiatives.
• Provide operational support appropriate for a 24x5 business environment, including occasional off-hours support for business-critical issues.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience building and supporting workflow automation in an enterprise environment.
• Working familiarity with structured data formats (e.g., JSON) sufficient to understand, adapt, and support automation workflows, often leveraging AI and low-code platforms.
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Celigo, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of identity, access, and lifecycle concepts (users, groups, permissions).
• Ability to work from defined requirements and execute reliably without owning overall project management.
