Job description

You will be the Manufacturing Robotics and Automation Engineering Manager, providing technical management direction to a team of
Robotics Engineers in the Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) team in the Grand Prairie, TX facility. Our team is tasked with the manufacturing automation and robotics solutions for Missiles and Fire Control.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Robotics and Automation Engineering Leader in Grand Prairie, you will be
responsible for overseeing cost, schedule, technical planning, risk and opportunity management, and interfacing closely with customer and supplier counterparts. You will lead a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and direction, and ensuring standard technical processes and tools are implemented to meet program needs. You will also be responsible for the review of automation designs, including
providing producibility feedback that includes impact on both current and future designs. You will lead the preparedness of your team to transition those designs into production.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing cost, schedule, technical planning, risk and opportunity management.
Supporting new and existing business proposals with Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
Supporting Capital and IRAD planning and execution, vendor/integrator engagement, and project management activities to deploy automated solutions at multiple sites across MFC.
Performing requirements tasks, such as creation of AMT Center demonstrations, tour visits/schedules, lab area configurations and lab technology planning/roadmaps.
Providing robotics and automation engineering support to sustainment teams operating in multiple manufacturing facilities across MFC.
Growing the team's technical capabilities through
planning, gap assessment, and mentoring/knowledge transfer, focusing on robotics and automation implementations to
drive throughput and affordability.
Leading the team to develop a baseline of current state and identification of process variation to drive to a documented improved future state via SIA or continuous improvement activities.
Approximately 20% travel may be required to facilitate multi-site automation projects.
