Operating horizontally alongside Go-to-Market Systems and Financial Systems, the Director, EAAI will lead the team that ensures our enterprise application ecosystem remains cohesive, agile, and secure.

This leader will act as the horizontal governance and enablement layer, ensuring that data flows seamlessly between front-office and back-office systems, processes are optimized via automation, and AI is safely embedded into enterprise workflows. Additionally, this role will facilitate the governance of the AI strategy regarding business process automation across critical Go-to-Market and Financial business systems.

What You’ll Do:
  • Strategic Leadership & Execution: Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans, objectives, and the long-term future-state technology roadmap (18–36 months out).
  • Operational Effectiveness: Makes final decisions on implementation, ensures operational effectiveness, and effectively cascades functional strategy across the organization.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Works on complex, ambiguous issues where problems are not clearly defined and fundamental principles do not fully apply, successfully translating business segment strategy into functional EAAI plans.
  • Budgetary & Impact Accountability: Takes accountability for actions and decisions that impact the EAAI function and multiple department budgets, recognizing that erroneous decisions will have a critical, long-term impact on the overall success of the organization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Interacts with senior management and executives to negotiate matters of significance and reconcile multiple stakeholder views to drive enterprise-wide business results.
  • Team Direction & Growth: Directs the activities of the EAAI functional area through lower management, leading teams to develop new integration methods and solve complex automation matters.
  • Enterprise Architecture (EA) Governance: Establishes organizational policies, technical standards, security baselines, and interoperability standards, while chairing the Technology Review Board (TRB) to prevent shadow IT and streamline software purchases.
  • Stack Rationalization & Cost Optimization: Audits the corporate Business Systems ecosystem bi-annually to map business capabilities directly to applications, identify redundancies, and optimize costs across Go-to-Market and Financial platforms.
  • Integration & iPaaS Platform Ownership: Serves as the ultimate platform owner for the enterprise iPaaS (e.g., Workato), managing cross-functional data pipelines (like Lead-to-Cash and Usage-to-Billing) and centralizing enterprise API management.
  • Workflow Automation & RPA: Drives the creation and maintenance of digital workers/bots to automate high-volume, structured, manual tasks across the organization.
  • AI Strategy & Process Governance: Serves as the clearinghouse for business process AI initiatives involving critical business systems, writing and enforcing policies on where and how AI can be safely introduced into automated workflows (e.g., human-in-the-loop triggers).
  • AI Security & Vendor Assessment: Partners with IT, InfoSec, Legal, and Compliance to conduct risk assessments on third-party AI systems and ensure data feeding into LLMs complies with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and SOX.
  • AI Framework & Enablement Provisioning: Provides Go-to-Market and Financial Systems teams with secure, standardized internal wrappers, API connectors, and orchestration frameworks to easily build AI agents.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Integrations, Automation, or Business Technology, ideally in a high-growth enterprise SaaS environment.
  • 5+ years of managing and directing high-performing technical teams and managers of various levels.
  • Proven track record of designing and managing complex, cross-functional data integration pipelines (such as Lead-to-Cash and Usage-to-Billing).
  • Strong understanding of front-office and back-office application ecosystems, including platforms like Salesforce, NetSuite, and Coupa.
  • Deep experience in writing, defining, and enforcing governance policies, architectural guardrails, and compliance regulations (GDPR, CCPA, SOX).
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a demonstrated capability of presenting to, negotiating with, and influencing senior executives and cross-functional business leaders.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API management, iPaaS platforms, and robotic process automation (RPA).
  • High technical acumen and an understanding of modern AI technologies, including GenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and automated workflows.
We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:
  • Enterprise Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Experience as an administrator or expert architect in Workato.
  • Practical experience implementing AI automation governance frameworks and enterprise-wide AI wrappers.
