Job description

Job Title: Automation Engineering Technician Location: Littleton, CO Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $28-36/hour, OT eligible Work Model: Onsite Hours: 2nd shift - Sunday-Tuesday, every other Wednesday 5:30PM-6AM

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert troubleshooting for automated manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
  • Use PLC ladder logic to resolve machine control issues and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Partner with engineering to execute process validations and help develop solutions that improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
  • Contribute to design reviews, URS, PFMEAs, and testing during new automation projects.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on automated systems and monitor machine data to identify trends.
  • Proactively solve problems and optimize production performance.

Requirements

  • HS degree (or 2 year degree with some experience)
  • 10+ years of experience
  • 2+ years of hands on automation experience in a heavily regulated industry
  • Experience supporting equipment design improvements
  • Experience in the fabrication of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and assemblies preferred
  • Experience in high speed automation
  • Experience in RF welding applications
  • Experience in Cam automation
  • Highly proficient in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, controls, and hydraulic maintenance techniques
  • Advanced electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and understand complex mechanical, electrical drawings, flowcharts, and/or other drawings of a technical nature
  • Demonstrated ability to understand new and โ€œfirst time worked onโ€ mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls and electrical systems
  • Working understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC)
  • Proficient in the use of the PLC as a troubleshooting tool
  • Proficient with, and effective use of, relevant PC software applications
