Job description

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Technology Risk & Controls Program Support. Positioned to be the best in class of program execution across Technology at Morgan Stanley, the Strategic Programs Execution (SPE) is a Super Department in Cyber, Data, Risk and Resilience (CDRR). This function facilitates enhanced delivery capability to effectively manage the increasing pipeline of critical technology, regulatory, risk and control-based programs.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Program Management Support position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for providing specialist data analysis and expertise that drive decision-making and business insights as well as crafting data pipelines, implementing data models, and optimizing data processes for improved data accuracy and accessibility, including applying machine learning and AI-based techniques.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Setting up tools and standards for managing the program

  • Planning, tracking, and reporting on outputs and outcomes

  • Financial planning, budgets and tracking - assisting the Program Manager

  • Cross project interdependency management

  • Setting quality control standards and tracking implementation

  • Developing stakeholder maps defining the interest of the program/

  • Holding master copies of program documentation

  • Maintaining status reports for al projects/workstreams for the program

  • Establishing consistent practices and standards for planning, reporting, controls

  • Registering issues

  • Analyzing risks and maintaining Risk Log for the program

  • Producing and distributing reports for the program

  • Monitoring items requiring action

  • Maintaining and updating program plan

  • Maintaining and monitoring programs change control procedures

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 5 years working in a PMO or Program Support role

  • Demonstrated experience operating within PMO functions at a Big 4 consultancy (e.g., Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC)

  • Experience of working on programs focused on delivering change to technology risk & controls or of a regulatory, internal audit or operational risk nature

  • Solid proficiency in project and program methodologies across the full program lifecycle

  • Naturally proactive and ability to thrive where there's ambiguity

  • Comfortable working with a high level of independence

  • Confidence to challenge & push back, and ability to change engagement approach to suit your audience

  • Focus on identifying opportunities to drive greater effectiveness and efficiency through automation and process streamlining

  • An interest in emerging technologies such as Generative AI and developing real-life applications in the program Mgmt. domain

  • Provide clarity and calmness during chaotic moments

  • Ability to quickly develop relationships coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficiency in using platforms such as JIRA, Rally
