Your overarchingobjectivebeing tomonitortroubleshoot our deployed models on customer sites in real-time.

What you will do:

LeadTechnical Operations

  • Oversee system architecture, configuration, and integration for Cloud BMS deployments.
    Lead remote troubleshooting, optimization, and commissioning efforts for IoT devices, HVAC controls, lighting, and refrigeration systems.
  • Ensure platform reliability, uptime, and performance through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Design, develop, and test control programs and sequences for IoT devices andbuildingautomation systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert incloudbasedbuilding automation, control logic, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus,LonWorks, etc.).
  • Provide advanced technicalexpertiseto support sales, customer success, operations, and implementation teams.

Empower and Mentor Teams

  • Train andmentor,a team ofcontrolsspecialists, fostering knowledge sharing, growth, and technical excellence.
  • Provide constructive feedback and promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical challenges and system-critical incidents.

Customer and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with clients to understand needs, define requirements, and deliver tailored solutions.
    Communicate directly with customers to address issues, service requests, escalations, and system updates.
  • Proactively manage customer expectations and ensure alignment with established SLAs and contractual commitments.
  • Contribute to drafting or reviewing SLAs to support quality control and algorithm development processes.

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with development, data science, and algorithm teams to enhance integrations and deployment workflows.
  • Lead documentation improvements, including test procedures, QA/QC results,step by stepguides, and product reviews.
  • SupportKnowledge CenteredService (KCS) improvements and applyshiftleftpractices to increase troubleshooting efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for internal teams and customers.

Operational Support

  • Contribute tomaintenance and system updates on client systems ina remotecapacity.
  • Perform analytical testing (QA/QC) for new product validation, stability assessments, andreleasereadiness.
  • Stay current with advancements in IoT, cloud technologies, building automation, and control system standards.
  • Provideafterhours coverage(nights, weekends, holidays) whenrequired, withappropriate compensation.

What you will bring:

  • Diploma in mechanical, electrical, or buildingenvironmentsengineering technology, or equivalent trade/field experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with building automation and HVAC control systems, preferably in the IoT domain.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or coaching junior team members or peers.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with BMS software, programming, and hardware (Distech, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC/mechanical systems, electrical, refrigeration, and building operations.
  • Experience commissioning HVAC automation controls and building management systems.
  • Proficiencywith BMS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus,LonWorks,DIIInet).
  • Strong Unix/Linux OS experience, including scripting and command-line operations.
  • Solid IT and networking knowledge (configuration, troubleshooting, architecture).
  • Experience with electronics, testing equipment, circuitry, and control panel wiring.
  • Ability to multi-task, work autonomously, and collaborate across departments.
  • Familiarity with Python, MQTT, RESTful APIs, andNodeRED.
  • Tridium Niagara 4 certification is an asset.

Language Requirements

  • French-English bilingualism is required.
  • In addition to fluency in French, successful candidates must have full professional proficiency in English in order to support and collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or various stakeholders.
