Job Description:

The Role

Entegris is currently seeking an Automation Technician to join our team. This position will be based at our Colorado Springs (Arrows West) facility.

Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue that mission.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and builda strong foundationin industrial automation.

The shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm Mountain time.

WhatYou'llDo

  • Assist the Automation and Controls team with hands-on support during equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.

  • Participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions, including occasional travel toour Bedford, MA site to learn processes, equipment, and best practices.

  • Support cross-functional teams-including process engineers, technicians, and operations staff-to ensure smooth equipment operation and troubleshooting.

  • Work with senior team members to help ensure equipment meets safety, regulatory, and industry standards.

  • Assistin Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT),helpingverify equipment functionality and documentation accuracy.

  • Learn tooperateand troubleshoot automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, OT networks, and SCADA applications.

  • Help identify basic equipment issues and support root-cause analysis under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • Stay curious and engaged with new automation technologies, tools, and methods as part of your professional development.

What We Seek

  • Associate degreeortechnicalcertificatein Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Controls, ora relatedfield.

  • 1-3yearsof experience in automation, controls, or industrial maintenance (internships, co-ops, or school projects count).

  • Exposure to manufacturing environments or hands-on lab experience with automation equipment.

  • Willingness to travel for training and vendor visits.

  • Interestin learning how to work with equipment vendors andparticipatein equipment acceptance processes.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have

  • A strong desireto learn andgrow inautomation and controls.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to problem-solving efforts.

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, safety practices, and equipment operation.

  • Strong communicationskills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Foundational exposure to:

  • Rockwell Studio 5000 or similar PLC platforms

  • HMI/SCADA systems such as FactoryTalk View or Ignition

  • SQL databases or basic data handling

  • Industrial networking concepts (Ethernet/IP, switches, VLANs, etc.)
