Your role and responsibilities:
As the Program Leader for Critical Industries, you will drive operational excellence and customer success across our highest-value strategic accounts. This leader will establish and scale a world-class program management organization, setting organizational vision, fostering operational rigor, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences during rapid program execution. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of how ABB manages complex, large-scale customer engagements globally.

This is a remote position for candidates based in the United States.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Division in the United States.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lead and scale the Critical Industries Program Management organization, defining strategic vision, governance frameworks, and operational standards while building a high-performing team aligned to ABB's global objectives.

  • Drive exceptional customer outcomes and strategic account success by overseeing end-to-end program execution, strengthening executive customer relationships, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with account strategies.

  • Enable cross-functional business integration and execution by partnering with Sales, Account Management, Delivery, and Finance to manage complex, multi-geography programs and influence broader business strategy.

  • Champion operational excellence and talent development through standardized program management methodologies, KPI-driven performance management, continuous improvement initiatives, and the recruitment, mentoring, and growth of program management talent.


Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

  • 10+ years of program, sales, or project management experience, with a minimum of 3 years in leadership roles managing teams and organizational strategy

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex programs in global, matrix-driven environments

  • Demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing teams, establishing culture, and developing talent

  • Strong business acumen with ability to connect program management to strategic account and financial outcomes

  • Experience establishing operational frameworks, processes, and governance structures in fast-growing organizations

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels, internally and with external customers

  • Experience with multiple industries and customer types; preferably industrial, technology, or B2B services sectors

  • Familiarity with program management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent) and tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar)

  • Preference for candidates with the following: Deep technical understanding of 3-phase AC power systems including, but not limited to: medium and low voltage switchgear, medium and low voltage motor control centers, switchboards, panelboards, and ancillary electrical distribution products. Solid technical understanding and field sales experience selling power monitoring and control software, associated metering and communications systems, electric vehicle chargers, and battery energy storage/microgrid solutions.
