Job description

Are you ready?

The Account Manager - Industrial Automation position requires qualifying new accounts and opportunities or to further a relationship or opportunity with existing customers within Aerospace, Entertainment, Government, Water & Wastewater Treatment markets. This role requires someone who is self-sufficient, comfortable working remotely, and is highly motivated to nurture and develop key market verticals.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has interest (experience preferred) in automation control, specifically PLC & VFDS, motor control, pneumatics, and electrical services. The Account Manager must also effectively leverage both internal and external resources for product and customer service support, thereby maximizing time spent generating revenue producing opportunities. This individual will be supported by an automation team who will be available to assist with opportunity support and project management.

In this role you will:

  • Implement strategy to increase sales and profits from key accounts
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity
  • Understand customer business needs and work closely with our supplier partners to help find solutions to meet those needs
  • Give presentations on new products, answer questions on products and Company services
  • Attain or exceed sales and profit budget

What you bring to the table:

  • 6+ years experience preferred
  • 4 year degree preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP)

Pay Details:

The expected salary for this position is $88,399 annually depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible based on specific and relevant business metrics.

This role requires the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes. Graybar offers a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) reimbursement program to support eligible drivers. This program allows you to choose and drive your own vehicle, rather than a company-assigned car, and your reimbursements can help you build equity in your vehicle over time.
