Join Our Team

BLEACHTECH is seeking a skilled Electrical amp; Instrumentation (E amp;I) Technician to join our Maintenance amp; Reliability team. In this role, you'll help ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems across our chemical manufacturing facilities.

What You'll Do

As an Electrical amp; Instrumentation Technician, you will:

  • Install, commission, configure, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation, PLC, and automation systems to minimize downtime.
  • Calibrate instruments in accordance with ISO procedures and industry standards.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and control systems.
  • Test and inspect transformers, switchgear, transfer switches, electrical distribution equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Install, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems while ensuring compliance with current electrical codes and Arc Flash requirements.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, P amp;IDs, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, ladder logic, AC/DC drives, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
  • Perform low- and medium-voltage testing and diagnostics.
  • Support planned plant shutdowns by completing assigned maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure materials and spare parts are available when needed.
  • Supervise contractors during maintenance activities when appropriate.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical and/or instrumentation maintenance within an industrial or process manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical systems, instrumentation, and industrial controls.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P amp;IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, ladder logic, VFDs, AC/DC drives, motors, and industrial automation.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations and maintenance teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical degree, apprenticeship, or trade certification in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation.
  • High Voltage (HV) safety training or certification.
  • Instrument calibration experience.
  • Experience using a CMMS.
  • Additional electrical or instrumentation certifications.
