Job Purpose
The Senior Financial Analyst, Technical Accounting will be responsible for the accounting related to the company's global hedging program, including working collaboratively with the Treasury function on strategic initiatives to efficiently manage risk exposures and maintaining the accounting portions of the treasury management system. The Senior Financial Analyst will also be responsible for researching and documenting technical accounting positions, providing thought leadership on U.S. GAAP guidance to entities across the globe, accounting and reporting activities for certain technical areas and assisting with various projects as needed, including process improvement and automation, leveraging the use of AI tools and technology. The Senior Financial Analyst, Technical Accounting, will report to the Manager, Technical Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage foreign exchange related activities and support the month end close process, including recording journal entries, preparing reconciliations, and support the global finance teams and related financial reporting activities
  • Perform net investment hedge capacity calculations to support hedge effectiveness testing
  • Perform and/or manage third parties with the company's annual goodwill impairment testing and pension accounting process
  • Perform technical accounting research for unique or complex transactions (such as mergers and acquisition) to determine the appropriate accounting under U.S. GAAP as well as the impact on SEC filings, and document the conclusions in technical accounting memos
  • Work collaboratively with the reporting team on the preparation of the accounting entries and the SEC filings such as the Company's form 10-Q and 10-K
  • Assist in various ad-hoc projects including development of process improvement strategies and updates to accounting policies and procedures.

What we're looking for
  • 4+ years' experience in accounting or finance, prior derivative and/or OneStream experience a plus
  • BA in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Public Accounting or SEC reporting experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly driven / self-starter / problem solver
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment
