The Opportunity
As Accounting Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations while helping establish the financial infrastructure needed to support continued company growth.
You'll work closely with ownership and leadership while managing core accounting functions, supervising staff, improving processes, and providing meaningful financial insights across the organization.

Key
ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & Reporting
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies and reporting standards
Real Estate Accounting & Project Support
- Manage job costing and project accounting activities
- Monitor property-level financial performance and reporting
- Support acquisition, renovation, and property management initiatives
- Assist leadership in evaluating project profitability and investment performance
- Track key financial metrics across various real estate holdings
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Review workflow, establish priorities, and improve department efficiency
- Strengthen internal controls and financial processes
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements
- Help build scalable accounting systems that support future growth
Strategic Business Partnership
- Provide financial analysis and decision support to leadership
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management
- Develop reporting tools and KPIs that improve visibility into business performance
- Coordinate with external CPA firms and advisors regarding tax and year-end activities
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior management or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, and accounting operations
- Experience within real estate, property management, construction, or related industries highly preferred
- CPA or CPA-track background is a plus
- Experience with AppFolio, QuickBooks Desktop, Entrata, or similar platforms is beneficial
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
