Job description

Mechanical Designer


Chemco Systems is seeking a Mechanical Designer that will work on the layout and design of mechanical systems for bulk chemical storage handling and feed systems for air and water pollution treatment.


The Mechanical Designer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address the customer's requirements and provide value to their projects.

Experience:

AutoCAD and Inventor


Responsibilities:

  • Primarily produce 2D models and subsequent fabrication drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD. This position requires a strong understanding of AutoCAD background files. Produce some 3D drawings using AutoCAD Inventor and working with AutoCAD Vault.
  • Prepare equipment general arrangements, piping arrangements, piping diagrams and shop detail drawings as needed.
  • Strong background with using MS Office products.
  • Strong communication skills dealing with manufacturing and office personnel.
  • Develop detailed mechanical drawings and BOM using Inventor.
  • Be self-motivated to perform given assignments in a timely and competent manner.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in mechanical drafting/design is preferred or have technical experience/comparable knowledge with mechanical drafting.
  • Self-motivated individual who has the initiative and the assertiveness to stay on task and schedule.
  • Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
