Job description

We are looking for a Professional willing to join our Technical Services department, in particular, the team dedicated to Melt Shops technologies.
The candidate should have a strong motivation to work within an international and challenging environment. You will carry on the following activities:
  • Mainly generate accurate 2D drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Produce 2D drawings from sketches.
  • Generate 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Calculate weights and locate center of gravity of parts and assemblies.
  • Generate accurate Bill of Materials and parts list.
  • Apply dimensions, tolerances, fits, weld symbols, and surface finish requirements.
  • Generate layouts, general arrangements, fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Revise drawings based on engineering comments and marked up documents.
  • Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models to be used in technical proposals.

Required profile:
  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or vocational certification in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Design Technology, CAD Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant drafting experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant drafting experience.
  • Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D software.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor 3D software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

Preferred Skills or Experience:
  • Experience working for an engineering company.
  • Experience directly related to the steel industry is a plus.
  • Spanish speaking would be beneficial.
