Job description

Environmental Tectonics Corporation (ETC), a growing and dynamic manufacturing company is seeking a highly organized and technically skilled CAD & ERP Systems Administrator to support the modernization of our engineering and business systems. This role will play a critical part in an ongoing ERP and PDM migration while serving as the long-term administrator and champion for our CAD, PDM, and ERP environments.
Key Responsibilities
ERP and Data Migration Support
  • Assist with the migration of legacy ERP and PDM systems to a modern operational platform.
  • Audit, cleanse, and prepare data for migration, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Consolidate and validate Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD part databases, assemblies, and metadata.
  • Configure and maintain Autodesk Inventor Content Center and AutoCAD block libraries to support engineering workflows.
  • Develop scripts and automation tools to support data extraction, transformation, and migration activities.

Systems Administration and Process Improvement
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the company's ERP system, Autodesk Vault Professional, Inventor, AutoCAD, and related software.
  • Develop and maintain standards for CAD modeling, drawings, metadata, content libraries, data management, and digital asset lifecycle processes.
  • Design and implement automation tools that improve efficiency, enforce standards, and streamline engineering workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and technology solutions.
  • Manage software updates, integrations, customizations, and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor system performance, data quality, and user adoption, providing regular reports and recommendations.
  • Administer user access, permissions, and security across supported platforms.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
  • Support engineering teams with drawing production as needed.
  • Develop training materials and facilitate user group meetings to promote best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP integrations, APIs, business objects, and customization frameworks.
  • Experience analyzing business processes and developing technology-driven solutions.
  • Solid understanding of data management principles, including metadata standards, naming conventions, and data integrity.
  • Programming experience with one or more of the following: Python, VB.NET/C#, VBA, SQL, PowerShell, or API/SDK frameworks.
  • Experience with ERP systems; manufacturing ERP experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault Professional, Content Center, or comparable CAD/PDM platforms.
  • Knowledge of assemblies, part libraries, and engineering documentation practices.
  • Drafting experience with GD&T; P&ID experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead standards development, user training, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience administering PDM/PLM systems, including lifecycle management, permissions, and workflow automation.
  • Background in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
