Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience to join our Engineering team. You will be part of a design team developing innovative military and airborne products (we are not a production machine shop). You will machine both quick-turn prototypes and production parts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Program using CAD/CAM software, set-up and operate CNC milling machines 
  • Operate press brake, drill press, lathe and other tools
  • Manufacture sheet metal parts using laser cutter
  • Read and interpret technical drawings
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary
  • Conduct quality control inspections on finished products
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production processes

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in setting up and operating CNC milling machines and related shop equipment.
  • Proficient in using CAD/CAM software, with Autodesk Inventor preferred; experience with similar software such as Mastercam, CAMWorks, or SolidWorks is acceptable.
  • Knowledge of basic shop mathematics, including arithmetic and metric conversions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment to verify machined workpieces conform to specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus
  • 3-5 years minimum experience as a CNC Machinist
  • 1-3 years experience with CAD/CAM software
  • Candidate should be able to produce prototype parts (1-5pcs) from start to finish with little or no supervision 
     i.e.; use CAD/CAM software to create G-code program, set up CNC machine run all operations to produce a finished part
