Job description

Tryer Process Equipment (TPE) has an opening for a Mechanical Designer with a minimum of 3 years experience in 2-D or 3-D mechanical/piping design. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the design and layout of pressure vessels, skids, piping and associated equipment for skid mounted gas processing units.

For consideration you must meet the following requirements

  • Three years of prior work experience in 2D or 3D design using AutoCAD or other software
  • Understanding of conceptual layout of piping and equipment on structural steel skids
  • Have good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical School Degree in Design or Drafting
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant Professional and/or Autodesk Inventor
  • Prior experience with Hexagon CADWorx Plant or Inventor and P&ID software is a plus
  • Ability to generate isometric layouts and bill of materials for pipe spools using ISOGEN
  • Prior experience in detailing of ASME code pressure vessels, skirts, saddles, ladders and platforms is a plus
