Genesis Design Center - Chief Digital Modeler

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Quickly build and iterate Design concepts using Autodesk Alias Surface, both in NURBS and Sub-D.
  • Understand Typical Sections and material separation for vehicle manufacture.
  • Efficiently manage inputs including sketches, designer models, scans, package data, and verbal direction.
  • Work harmoniously with fellow CAS modelers, Designers, Engineers, Fabricators, Clay Modelers and CMF Designers.
  • Prepare digital models for 3D Printing and CNC Milling.
  • Participate in Design reviews offering critique and reacting to feedback with creative solutions.
  • Flexibly optimize deliverables to changing project constraints.
  • Open willingness to support on anything to meet our goals.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
    • Travel up to 20% of time domestically and/or internationally.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Design degree or similar experience.
  • Desire for learning, exploration and innovation.
  • 7 years' experience in Autodesk Alias Surface for automotive OEM..
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus: Dynamo, Grasshopper, VRED, Blender, and Python
  • Understanding the Design fundamentals of Proportions, Surface, Theme, Graphics and Packaging.
  • English language required for Multicultural Team Environment.
