Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter
Location: Bloomfield, CT 06002
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $50/hr on W2
 
Job Description
The Modernization Fixtures Drafter supports the design and documentation of elevator fixture packages for modernization projects. This role is responsible for converting contract-specific design requirements into accurate AutoCAD drawings using established standards, templates, and work blocks. The drafter produces project-specific fixture drawings, creates factory build files, and collaborates with Otis local office personnel to ensure all customer and project requirements are met.
This position plays a critical role in supporting increased volume and year-over-year growth by delivering high-quality fixture drawings in a fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
Create, modify, and maintain technical fixture drawings using AutoCAD
Translate contract-specific data and design specifications into accurate layouts and drawings
Develop base configuration drawings and customize them to meet project requirements
Produce approval drawings, revisions, and final construction packages
Create build files and documentation required by manufacturing facilities
Review project requirements to ensure compliance with standards and customer expectations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including local offices and internal stakeholders
Interface directly with Otis local office staff to resolve specification issues and clarify requirements
Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
Maintain organized documentation, revision history, and drawing records
Follow established drafting standards, processes, and templates
