Role Description The AutoCAD Drafter is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and architectural plans using AutoCAD and related drafting tools. Day-to-day duties include preparing shop drawings, updating and revising existing plans, coordinating with designers and project managers, and ensuring that all documentation complies with project specifications and applicable codes. The AutoCAD Drafter will organize drawing sets, maintain file standards, and collaborate with team members to resolve design and documentation issues. This position requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and effective communication with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical drawing skills, including proficiency in Technical Drawing and general Drawing.

  • Foundational understanding of Architecture and building systems to support accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with other CAD or BIM software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp) is beneficial.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple drawing tasks concurrently.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers.
