We have a strong focus on growth and recruitment and employ only the best local talent within our region.RDR Utility Services Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AutoCAD Technician to join our team in the fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our welding operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and draw ISOs from customers drawing package and also hand drawn isos in auto-cad.
  • Assist with checking in materials as they arrive.
  • Check heat numbers match MTR.
  • Check grade to match what was ordered.
  • Check size and wall thickness to what was ordered.
  • Verify heat numbers for any discrepancies from the isos to MTR.
  • Record x-ray numbers.
  • Scan and file MTRs, JSAs, X-ray reports, Torque reports and field isos.
  • Create Hydro-test packages.


Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in auto-cad in oil and gas setting.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Knowledge of MTRs, pipe grades and sizes.
  • Excellent computer skills with programs such as MS Office, Blue-Beam and other construction related software.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work closely with company provided inspection.
  • Must have a good positive attitude and show up for work every day and on time.
