Position Summary

The Collision Shop Porter supports the daily operations of the OEMcertified collision center by ensuring vehicles, work areas, and equipment are organized, clean, and ready for use. This role is essential to maintaining efficient workflow, assisting technicians and administrative staff, and delivering professional customer experience. The Collision Shop Porter helps move vehicles, perform basic cleaning tasks, and support production activities while upholding dealership and OEM standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Move, park, and organize customer and dealership vehicles safely around the collision center and lot.
  • Assist with vehicle checkin, staging for repairs, and preparing vehicles for technicians.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop areas, including bays, wash stations, parts storage, and customer delivery areas.
  • Wash and vacuum vehicles before or after repairs as requested by management.
  • Support technicians by delivering parts, tools, or supplies to work areas as needed.
  • Assist with waste disposal, recycling, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Perform light facility maintenance such as sweeping, emptying garbage bins, and cleaning work surfaces.
  • Help maintain proper vehicle flow for production, detailing, paint, and delivery teams.
  • Follow all dealership and OEM safety guidelines, including PPE usage and safe vehicle handling.
  • Provide assistance with other tasks as assigned by the Collision Manager or Foreman.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an automotive dealership, collision center, or related environment is an asset.
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and take direction well.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high shop standards.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
