Job description

Mobile Auto Detailer โ€“ Bryan/College Station Area.

About Kurtz Auto Detailing:
We're a premium mobile detailing company serving Bryan/College Station, Brenham, Magnolia, Waller, Montgomery, and The Woodlands. We don't run a wash bucket and a sponge โ€” we use Gyeon ceramic coatings, Koch-Chemie products, and proprietary waterless wash systems to deliver detail jobs that other shops in this area can't match. Our clients pay premium prices because we deliver premium work.
We're young, fast-growing, and scaling toward $50K/month in monthly revenue. If you want to grow with a brand instead of clock in at a stale one, keep reading.
The Role:
We're hiring a part-time floater detailer to support our lead techs on busy days and overflow jobs. "Floater" means flexible โ€” you're on-call when our schedule is packed, when a client books last-minute, or when we need a third hand on a big job. Perfect for someone who wants to learn the premium detailing trade, earn real money on commission, and prove themselves into a full-time spot as we grow.
You don't need 5 years of detailing experience. You need character, an eye for detail, and the work ethic to show up and crush it. We'll train you on the rest.
What You'll Do:
  • Travel with our team in our branded van to client locations (you meet us in Navasota).
  • Wash, decontaminate, and detail vehicles to Kurtz standards.
  • Assist on paint correction prep, ceramic coating prep, and interior deep cleans.
  • Maintain equipment, chemicals, and the van between jobs.
  • Represent the Kurtz brand professionally โ€” our clients see you, not just the work.

What We're Looking For:
  • Reliable transportation to our Navasota location.
  • Valid driver's license + clean driving record.
  • Detail-obsessed mindset โ€” this is the #1 trait we hire for.
  • Strong work ethic. We move fast. We don't carry passengers.
  • Comfortable working in Texas heat, on your feet, for 8+ hour days.
  • Clean appearance and communication that matches a premium brand.
  • Bonus (not required): Prior detailing, car wash, valet, or auto industry experience.

What You Get:
  • $20โ€“$30/hour effective rate ( Which is 25% commision of Job + Cash Tips)
  • Tips on top of commission
  • Paid hands-on training with Gyeon, Koch-Chemie, and pro-grade equipment most shops never touch
  • W-2 employment with workers comp coverage (real job, not 1099 hustle)
  • Branded gear and uniforms provided
  • Direct path to full-time / lead tech positions as we scale โ€” we promote from within

Schedule:
Part-time, on-call. Most work falls on Weekends and weekday overflow. Hours vary week to week โ€” could be 0 one week, 25 the next. Must be available Weekends consistently.
How to Apply:
To prove you actually read this post, start your application with the phrase "KURTZ-READY" at the top. Applications without this phrase will not be reviewed. (We do this on purpose โ€” we only hire people who pay attention.)
Then tell us:
  • Why you want to work for a premium detailing brand specifically (not just "any detailer job").
  • The car you'd most love to detail and why.
  • Your availability for the next 4 Saturdays and Sundays.
We move fast on hiring. Strong applicants get a call within 12 hours.
