Job description

We are looking for a full time Mechanic, or at least someone with good mechanical skills to join our team in CARBONDALE KS. No more dealing with upset customers or faulty installs. Very little diagnostics. All we do is dismantle vehicles and sell the parts. We can provide the basic tools needed to get started if needed. Starting pay up to $18-22/ hour for first 90 day evaluation period depending on qualifications. 99 DAY $700 SIGNING BONUS + UP TO 2 WEEKS VACATION PAY!!! Performance bonuses each paycheck, with Benefits including Health Insurance & 401K plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Dismantle the Engine and Transmission from a vehicle without damaging other parts on the vehicle.

- Help pull overflow of parts outside

- Locate parts in the computer.

- Put good parts into the warehouse.

- Set vehicle out in the yard onto wheel stands using a fork lift..

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Good mechanical skills

- Previous mechanical experience or training of some kind.

- Good at deadlines and able to work at a fast pace.

- Able to operate forklifts

- Basic computer skills

- Ability to work at a fast pace without damaging other parts

- Very little diagnostic skills needed. Just taking cars apart.

- Willingness to work inside and outside.

Denton Auto Salvage is a fast growing, privately owned company with 27 Employees. We have been in business for over 65 years. We are located 1 mile south of Carbondale KS. We are a proud member of TEAM PRP. Team PRP is a nation wide organization of over 300 independent Auto Recyclers. We have 4 Delivery routes serving all of the Eastern 2/3 of Kansas as well as all of the Kansas City Mo area. Team PRP also has a trailer system covering all of the Eastern 2/3 of the United States. This gives us access to a Huge Inventory Data Base to buy and sell parts from. We cater primarily to the Insurance industry and professional mechanical and auto body repair shops.
