Job description

Manager, Brand Partnerships & Social Media Strategist (Auto)
Capital One Auto is seeking a passionate B2B brand marketer with experience in memorable social media campaigns, building influencer strategies, and developing a consistent brand voice across multiple marketing channels and experiences. This role will be a part of the Capital One Auto - Awareness Marketing brand team, with a focus on mid-funnel marketing of the Dealer Navigator brand. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, develop briefs that guide incredible creative teams, and provide strategic guidance and guardrails for campaigns that deliver on Capital One Auto's strategy and brand standards.
What you'll do:
  • Oversee day-to-day implementation of Capital One Auto B2B content creator strategies and external agency relationships.
  • Work with agencies to define how, why and where we show up on key platforms such as YouTube, Meta, TikTok and more.
  • Uphold our Capital One Dealer Navigator tone of voice by sharing consistent and compelling stories about our brand across multiple channels.
  • Guide social media content creator process, internally and across external agencies, maintaining content calendar management and developing learn and adapt strategies.
  • Serve as social media expert, advising partner teams on social media strategies that best meet business objectives
  • Develop and present thoughtful, integrated briefs for organic, paid and content creator-led projects
  • Support B2B experiential activations for Capital One Auto
  • Provide oversight of creative development to ensure marketing materials are on brand, high quality and on schedule
  • Oversee Brand Health management with external agency for Capital One Dealer Navigator
  • Act as a steward for well-managed processes, identifying opportunity gaps where uncovered

What you should bring to the role:
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, leadership, creativity, balance of proactive and reactiveness, and drive for results
  • A love for creating content, following trends and helping brands connect with their audience in social-first ways
  • Knowledge of social media marketing, able to act as an SME in the space (including astute knowledge of social media best practices and guidelines including: targeting, channel strategies, KPI development, high-level understanding of paid social media, analytics / insight tools)
    • Bonus if you have direct experience across any or all of the major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, etc.)
  • Big picture thinking, connecting the dots between multiple experiences to create one seamless customer-focused brand.
  • Experience leading and managing creative processes, working with creative teams or external agencies
  • Skilled relationship-builder with strong aptitude for client relationship management
  • Able to manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities simultaneously while maintaining excellent and accurate work
  • A passion for leveraging data, metrics, and insights to drive results
  • A curious mindset, ready to dig in on automotive dealer attitudes/behaviors/trends and draw implications for marketing
  • Impeccable judgment to decipher what partnerships, influencers, or opportunities may be right for the brand.
  • Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing, editing, and presentation abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite Sheets, Docs and Slides

Travel expected. Approximately ~20% of the time to support real time event social media capture, sometimes falling on weekends
Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 6 years of digital marketing, public relations or brand event management experience (or a combination)
  • At least 4 years of experience writing communications and presentations for leadership and non-leadership audiences

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • 4+ years of experience in automotive industry
  • 4+ years experience in sponsorships, event production or entertainment industry
  • 1+ years experience adapting social media approach due to impact on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy
  • 6+ years of social media marketing experience (content creation, social media advertising, or social content strategy)
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, or other highly regulated industry

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Plano, TX: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Brand
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
