Job description

We are an established Southern California automotive dealership group representing Ford, Lexus, Cadillac, GMC and Kia. We are seeking an experienced Group Marketing Director to lead the marketing strategy and performance of our four dealerships.
This is not simply an advertising or campaign-management position.
We are looking for a strategic, analytical marketing leader who understands how marketing investment translates into leads, customers, sales, service retention and ultimately profitability. The position reports directly to the VP of Operations.
The Group Marketing Director will work closely with each dealership's General Manager to develop and evaluate store-level marketing strategies while providing group-wide leadership in digital marketing, customer data, vendor management, lead generation and marketing technology. The Marketing Director will work closely with four General Managers and have authority to analyze performance and recommend changes to marketing strategies, vendors and spending. 
As our group’s Marketing Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Marketing strategy and performance
  • Marketing spend and ROI
  • Digital advertising and website performance
  • Lead generation and funnel analysis
  • CRM and customer database strategy
  • OEM and co-op programs
  • Reputation, social media, and brand
  • Vendor and marketing technology management
  • AI and emerging technologies
Compensation & BenefitsTarget Total Compensation including performance bonus: $150,000-$200,000, depending on experience and performance

  • Significant marketing leadership experience, preferably within automotive retail or a multi-location dealership organization.
  • Strong understanding of dealership digital marketing, CRM/database marketing, websites, lead generation and reputation management.
  • Experience managing significant marketing budgets and evaluating ROI.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors and technology providers.
  • Familiarity with automotive CRM, DMS, digital retailing and lead-management environments.
  • Experience working with OEM marketing and co-op programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred, although significant relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
