Marketing Director Apprentice 

Romeo Auto Group is a family-owned and operated automotive group with a long-standing commitment to our customers, employees, and the communities we serve. With multiple dealership locations and a wide variety of brands, we are proud to offer new vehicles, used vehicles, service, parts, and a strong customer-first experience. Our marketing department plays a key role in supporting dealership growth, community involvement, employee engagement, and brand awareness across all Romeo Auto Group locations.

This position is ideal for someone who is committed, creative, organized, and eager to grow into a larger marketing leadership role. The Marketing Director Apprentice will learn the ropes of automotive marketing while helping coordinate events, manage content, support digital campaigns, build relationships, and use data to guide future growth. Romeo Auto Group is looking for someone who wants to be part of a growing company, take initiative, and help shape the future of our marketing department.

Full-Time, Year-Round Position | Benefits Included
Salary Range: $50,000–$70,000
Occasional Weekend Hours Required

Marketing Coordination & Strategy
  • Assist in planning and executing monthly marketing initiatives across all locations
  • Collaborate with dealership managers to align marketing with business goals
  • Coordinate with marketing agencies on campaigns, creative, reporting, and deadlines
  • Support campaign analysis, budgeting, and performance tracking
  • Attend vendor meetings and assist with monthly reporting
Events & Community Involvement
  • Coordinate dealership participation in community events, sponsorships, and partnerships
  • Represent the brand at events and build relationships with local organizations
  • Manage event logistics with managers (staffing, vehicles, materials)
  • Identify new community engagement opportunities
Internal Events & Team Morale
  • Help plan internal events (holiday parties, team-building, employee appreciation)
  • Coordinate logistics with vendors and internal teams
  • Support initiatives that enhance company culture and employee experience
Social Media & Digital Content
  • Coordinate and review content across social media, websites, and Google profiles
  • Ensure content is accurate, timely, and on-brand
  • Work with dealership teams to gather photos, videos, and testimonials
  • Support creative campaigns highlighting inventory, events, and culture
Analytics & Reporting
  • Assist with monthly performance reports
  • Track KPIs such as traffic, leads, engagement, and conversions
  • Use data insights to improve marketing effectiveness
Manufacturer & Compliance Support
  • Assist with manufacturer communication and co-op advertising processes
  • Ensure marketing meets compliance and approval requirements
  • Track deadlines, submissions, and documentation

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Some experience or education in marketing, communications, advertising, business, or a related field.
  • Some knowledge of Google Analytics 4.
  • An understanding of or strong interest in the automotive industry.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work with dealership managers, vendors, agencies, community partners, and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, events, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Creativity and the ability to bring new marketing ideas to the table.
  • Comfort attending events and representing Romeo Auto Group professionally.
  • A commitment to learning, growing, and helping build the marketing department.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekend hours for events or dealership needs.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Experience with Google Business Profiles.
  • Basic knowledge of dealership websites and automotive advertising.
  • Familiarity with campaign reporting, digital advertising, or vendor coordination.
  • Event planning or community relations experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to review content for accuracy before submission or posting.
