Upon receipt of tender documents, the duties include:

  • review the plans, drawings and specifications;
    <\/li>\n
  • generate the tender price schedule, time schedule, approximate quantities required for work and materials;
    <\/li>\n
  • question the work methods, possible subcontracts, risks and constraints with the tender;
    <\/li>\n
  • attend the mandatory site visit before tendering and\/or any client information meeting;
    <\/li>\n
  • obtain prices from the subcontractors and suppliers;
    <\/li>\n
  • determine all costs associated with the issuance of the bid and the special conditions;
    <\/li>\n
  • balance each page of the tender price schedule with the total quantities, total labour, equipment, material, subcontractors and suppliers costs;
    <\/li>\n
  • perform calculations for the material quantities;
    <\/li>\n
  • provide the Chief Estimator\/Senior Estimator with the total bid amount;
    <\/li>\n
  • keep in touch with owners, subcontractors and suppliers for clarifications and guidelines;

  • provide full construction work schedule;

  • prepare the bid reviewing;
