Human Resources Director โ€“ Bastrop, LA

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating personnel matters within the facility.
  • Processing daily accurate time and attendance for all facility employees.
  • Identifying needs and referring employees to appropriate resources for training and retraining.
  • Recommending and conducting performance improvement plans for employees who fall short on adhering to organizational processes and policies.
  • Ensuring compliance with facility policies, procedures, federal and state regulations, and PI standards.
  • Providing effective communication and knowledge of age/disability cultural diversity, including emergency response, referral, and assistive services.
  • Overseeing all human resources issues including staffing, staff relations, orientation and development, compensation and benefits.
  • Directing the Human Resources Department as a resource person for the department.
  • Developing and recommending human resources practices and procedures that assist in the growth of the facility.
  • Participating in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and/or Experience
  • Education: Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources.
  • License: None required.
  • Experience: Human Resources Manager in the hospital setting preferred; or 3-5 years as a Human Resources Generalist in the hospital setting. Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local registration relating to Human Resources (Titleโ€ฏVII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, affirmative action, ADA, FMLA) or related experience in nursing.
  • Additional Requirement: Effective verbal communication skills, effective organizational skills, effective interpersonal skills, analytical problemโ€‘solving skills, ability to read and comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions.
  • Proficient knowledge of PC computers.
  • Basic understanding of medical and psychiatric diagnoses and conditions.
