Job Summary
Repairs and refinishes damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and
dealership specifications and time standards.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Repairs and refinishes vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
  • Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
  • Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
  • Notifies management of any additional repairs or parts needed.
  • Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being 
    performed or cause a change in the promised time.
  • Maintains personal and shop tools and equipment in a proper state.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, 
    in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
  • Reports any deviations to management.
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body 
    shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for your position and the job duty at-hand, and promptly notify your supervisor should appropriate PPE be unavailable.
  • Report to management any situation, interaction, or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the Company, its personnel, or customers.
  • Complete all environmental, health, and safety trainings required by the Company through regularly accessing the appropriate software (KPA, Compli).
  • Adhere to all Company and manufacturer policies and programs governing environmental, health, and safety practices.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Technical or trade school degree required or minimum two years of automotive collision repair 
    experience preferred.
  • Dealership collision repair experience preferred.
  • I-CAR certifications preferred. I-CAR certifications preferred are as follows: Aluminum Repair,
  • Replacement and Welding; Collision Repair 2000; Electronics for Collision Repair; Finish Matching; Glass
  • Replacement; Steering and Suspension; and Understanding Collision Repair.
  • Must be able to work on and repair multiple makes of vehicles.
  • Must have the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, both automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Must have manual dexterity, good judgment and ability to operate power and hand tools and other 
    types of machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Must be able to work successfully on a flat rate pay system.
  • Valid driver’s license required for essential job functions and occasional travel for relevant training courses.
