Job description

Customer Retention Specialist

Dustin Kirkman State Farm is looking for a friendly, empathetic, and motivated Customer Retention Specialist to join our Ozark office. This position centers on strengthening relationships with current customers. You will help resolve service needs, review existing coverage, and ensure customers continue to feel supported by the agency. You will also play an active role in agency growth by identifying additional insurance needs within the existing book of business. Life insurance production is a key responsibility of this role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable introducing life insurance during appropriate customer conversations and following up consistently to help customers protect what matters most. We are especially interested in someone who is connected to the Ozark area, enjoys being involved in the community, and understands the value of building a strong local reputation.

A typical day may include helping customers with billing, renewals, policy changes, and coverage questions; providing calm and empathetic support during claims-related conversations; reviewing accounts to identify missing or outdated coverage; following up with customers regarding pending service and sales needs; discussing life insurance and other appropriate protection options; working toward monthly retention and in-book sales goals; requesting referrals from satisfied customers; encouraging customers to share their experiences through Google reviews; documenting customer conversations and next steps accurately; and supporting coworkers and adjusting to changing office priorities.

The person we're looking for may be a strong fit for this opportunity if you are upbeat, approachable, and professional; empathetic and patient when helping customers; comfortable balancing customer service with sales expectations; motivated to meet life insurance and in-book production goals; confident asking for referrals and Google reviews; organized, dependable, and consistent with follow-up; flexible and willing to support the team where needed; familiar with or connected to the local Ozark community; and able to work effectively in a busy, customer-focused office.

Prior insurance, account management, or customer service experience is preferred. Candidates must hold active Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses before beginning employment. Applicants who are not currently fully licensed must complete all licensing requirements prior to their first day. Licensing guidance, resources, and support will be provided to help qualified candidates complete the process.

What the agency offers includes competitive base compensation, commission and performance-based incentives, licensing support, ongoing coaching and professional development, a positive, team-oriented office environment, and clear goals and opportunities for long-term growth.

If you enjoy building lasting customer relationships and are motivated by service, retention, and life insurance sales, we encourage you to apply. Dustin Kirkman State Farm is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all applicants and employees and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Compensation: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year.
