Resumen del trabajo:

El Técnico de Especialidad Automotriz realizará trabajos de reparación y mantenimiento especializados para automóviles, camiones y otros vehículos motorizados, con un enfoque en un sistema o función.

Deberes/Responsabilidades:

  • Se especializa en un área de reparación de vehículos motorizados, como transmisiones, radiadores, frenos, aire acondicionado u otro componente específico de un automóvil.
  • Identifica problemas mecánicos, ya sea visualmente o con equipos de diagnóstico informático.
  • Realiza pruebas en piezas y sistemas específicos para confirmar la función mecánica adecuada; asegura que todas las partes críticas sean examinadas.
  • Realiza reparaciones, reemplazos o mantenimiento cuando lo amerite.
  • Repara o reemplaza piezas y sistemas que funcionan mal, como pastillas de freno, rotores de freno, radiadores, transmisiones y otras piezas mecánicas.
  • Realiza más pruebas que pueden incluir pruebas de manejo del vehículo para garantizar que las reparaciones se completen correctamente antes y después para confirmar condición y reparación.
  • Realiza otras tareas relacionadas según lo asignado.

Habilidades/Destrezas Requeridas:

  • Amplio conocimiento del área especializada y reparación general de vehículos.
  • Excelentes habilidades de reparación mecánica.
  • Excelentes habilidades analíticas y de resolución de problemas.
  • Capacidad para diagnosticar visualmente problemas mecánicos y eléctricos
  • Competente con equipos y software de diagnóstico informático.
  • Capacidad para leer manuales de servicio y reparación.
  • Capacidad para realizar reparaciones de manera oportuna.
  • Capacidad para leer órdenes de trabajo.

Educación y Experiencia:

  • Grado técnico en mecánica
  • Licencia Vigente del Estado como mecánico o técnico automotriz
  • Preferiblemente tres (3) años de experiencia relacionada.
  • Preferible certificaciones de Nissan.

Requisitos físicos:

  • Debe ser capaz de trabajar de forma segura en un área ruidosa con muchos olores presentes.
  • Debe ser capaz de levantar 50 libras regularmente.
  • Debe ser capaz de inspeccionar el vehículo para determinar las reparaciones necesarias.
  • Buena visión para inspeccionar los trabajos de reparación.
  • Debe ser capaz de doblarse, estirarse, arrodillarse y ponerse en cuclillas para realizar reparaciones e inspecciones.

  • Licencia de Conducir vigente de Puerto Rico
