Job description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by utilizing your passion and expertise in music therapy. A nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals with developmental disabilities and autism seeks a talented Music Therapist for the full academic year. This part-time contract role near Fairport, NY, offers the opportunity to engage small groups in transformative musical experiences.
In this position, you'll work with 4-6 children, providing two sessions per week. Your skills will help foster communication, social interaction, and emotional growth for students who benefit most from thoughtful support.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Board-Certified or Licensed Music Therapist (MT-BC or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism
  • Strong knowledge of adaptive music strategies for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain clear records and work collaboratively with other school-based professionals
Key Responsibilities:
