Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teacher โ€“ Full-Time | Near West Dover, VT | 2026โ€“2027 School Year

Location: School district near West Dover, Vermont
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract
Schedule: Full-Time (Schedule TBD)
Contract Duration: 2026โ€“2027 School Year
Hourly Pay: $25โ€“$40/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teacher to join a supportive school district near Brattleboro, VT for the 2026โ€“2027 school year. This full-time, onsite opportunity will support an elementary ASD caseload, providing specialized instruction and individualized educational support to students with autism in a collaborative school environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students reach their academic, social, behavioral, and communication goals through evidence-based instructional practices. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with special education professionals, therapists, administrators, and families to create meaningful educational experiences that promote student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet each student's unique learning needs
  • Support students' academic, social, behavioral, communication, and functional skill development
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, support staff, administrators, and families
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related degree specifically focused on teaching students with special needs required
  • Active Vermont Special Education (SPED) Teaching License/Certification required
  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and special education best practices
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, classroom management, and organizational skills
