These engineers focus on creating accessible, user-friendly tools that address the unique learning, communication, or behavioral needs of autistic individuals. Their work often involves collaborating with therapists, educators, and caregivers to ensure the software meets therapeutic or educational goals. They may work for specialized tech companies, educational institutions, or healthcare organizations.

How does an Autism Software Engineer collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accessible and inclusive software design?

Autism Software Engineers often work closely with UX designers, product managers, and QA specialists to develop software that is accessible and supportive for individuals on the autism spectrum.
