Job description

Do you have a passion for making a real difference in the lives of people living with mental health challenges and disabilities? At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), we’re seeking compassionate and dedicated Autism Community Partner (ACP) to join our team in Raleigh, NC.

The Autism Community Partner (ACP) role is designed to cultivate strong, authentic relationships between the ESPH ABA service line and the diverse communities it serves. By acting as a trusted liaison, the Autism Community Partner enhances awareness of ESPH’s mission and services, fosters trust and credibility, and creates pathways for both client referrals and staff recruitment. This is achieved through community engagement, brand advocacy, subject matter expertise, client/staff recruitment pipeline, and sustainable partnerships.

Job Duties: 

  • *Networking to expand relationships with new and existing community partners to build the referral pipeline and recruitment efforts (i.e. hanging flyers, lunch-and-learns, cold calls, boots on the ground efforts, etc).
  • *Facilitating and attending community events (i.e. sensory event hosted by PD, mental health fair, career day at community colleges, etc) and clinic events (i.e. client and/or staff focused).
  • *Creating and managing newsletters, flyers, social media account, and other informational materials.
  • *Build and sustain referral pipelines through tailored virtual and in-person communications, educational presentations, event partnerships, and collaboration with healthcare providers and community organizations.
  • *Design, deliver, and adapt educational presentations that increase awareness of ESPH ABA services and autism-related best practices.
  • *Plan, promote, and support center-based outreach events that strengthen community engagement and visibility.
  • *Serve as a professional ambassador for ESPH ABA at industry conferences, community events, and professional gatherings.
  • *Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to enhance staff recruitment efforts and promote ESPH as an employer of choice.
  • *Work closely with the Marketing team to curate promotional materials and digital communications that reflect ESPH’s mission and values.
  • *Connect current staff to community-based, neurodiversity-focused professional development opportunities to foster growth and expertise.
  • *Conduct research on community needs, trends, and gaps in autism services, and report findings to inform ESPH strategy.
  • *Organize and facilitate community-based social opportunities and respite programs for current clients and families, enhancing quality of life and support networks.
  • Act as a bridge between clients, families, and other ESPH service lines to ensure coordinated, holistic care across the continuum of services.
  • Follows all ESPH procedures as appropriate to position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Compensation & Benefits 

    • Competitive salary: $19.00 hourly to $21.00/hour based on your experience

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or national equivalent from an appropriate accredited institution
    • Technologically proficient in social media and design tools (i.e. FB, IG, Canva, Adobe Express, etc
    • A passion for serving the autism community.
    • Ability to work effectively without constant guidance (i.e. a self-starter who can work from an idea and let their creativity drive next steps).
    • Proficient Event planning skills.
    • The ability to present ESPH information to individuals and groups, and represent our mission in both internal and external events.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, organizational and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work with staff, clients, and stakeholders in a professional and compassionate manner.
    • Must possess unrestricted, state appropriate driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.

    • Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of talking, hearing, being on one’s feet for long periods of time and performing repetitive motions, such as using repeated gestures.
    • Occasional weekends required for hosted events (bi-monthly/quarterly). Travel is required for the job (e.g., company meetings, purchasing supplies, event planning needs, etc).
    • Employee will work from their home, clinic, and/or community-based setting. Exposure to weather elements during community based settings is possible
