Role Summary:

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. ONE Gas does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. This includes direct company sponsorship, entry of ONE Gas as the immigration employer of record on a government form, and any work authorization requiring a written submission or other immigration support from the company (e.g., H1-B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, etc)

What You Will Do

Performs inspection work on company pipelines; oversees contractors engaged in the construction and maintenance of a pipeline system.

Inspects installation, maintenance, and removal work performed by or contractors on transmission and distribution pipelines to ensure compliance and identify noncompliance with company and governmental standards.

Assists with operation and/or maintenance of tools and equipment in performance of duties including:

  • Pipe and crescent wrenches

  • Pipe cutters and threaders

  • Hammers and screwdrivers

  • Picks, shovels, and rakes

  • Air compressors and generators

  • Plastic fusion equipment

  • Combustible Gas Indicators - flame-ionization unit

  • Jiggle bar

  • Tapping and plugging

  • Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

Maintains logs; compiles and prepares reports including but not limited to:

  • Inspection logs

  • Leak reports

  • Job order completion information

  • Training/testing records

  • Mileage reports

  • Accident/first aid reports

  • Expense Reports

Investigates customer related orders and emergency situations including but not limited to:

  • Low pressure calls

  • Class 1 leaks

  • Blowing lines

  • Fires/explosions

  • Undetectable lines

Reviews invoices for accuracy (pricing, quantity installed, materials used, etc.).Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
