Job description

Concannon Business Consulting (CBC) is looking for a Drive/Fuel Testing Analyst who will provide limited part-time support on a contractor basis. This role will support our large automotive client in the Plano, TX area and will consist of both field/local support and some on-site requirements for vehicle testing purposes.

About the Position
The Drive/Fuel Testing Analyst will support testing activities and will interact with various business stakeholders. Below are the responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with both internal and external third-parties to schedule and perform testing on select vehicles based on availability and planned testing use cases
  • Perform road and drive testing and gather feedback to report accurate results in select formats (e.g. Excel and PostMan).
  • Testing does include physical responsibilities (e.g. opening vehicle hood, resetting vehicle by accessing battery, emptying and refilling fuel tank, following specific instructions)
  • Work with various groups to obtain testing vehicles including coordination and planning strategies
  • Work directly with key stakeholders to identify interdependencies and communicate schedules and progress
  • Build positive relationships within department and with third parties
  • Provide timestamp and geolocation results as needed
About You
This is what you should possess to be successful in this role:
  • Ideally 3+ years of professional experience (hardware or vehicle testing preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Capable of lifting 5-15 pounds (lifting force)
  • Comfortable in an outdoor environment as the role does entail physically being at a gas station to conduct the testing and fuel filling process
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, time management and priority-setting skills
  • Strong documentation/reporting skills
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment including multiple parties such as internal team members, business partners and external suppliers
  • Collaborative team member who is willing to take initiative, adapt to changing responsibilities, and contribute in support roles to drive team success
  • Flexibility with work schedule; open to more hours when vehicles are available to meet testing deadlines
  • Must be local in the Dallas Fort-Worth (DFW) area and familiar with driving conditions
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to meet commercial auto insurance policy requirements
  • Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and a clean driving record (commercial license)
  • Fluent in English; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Successful completion of a background check, clean driving record check, and drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws
