Hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday. Covers both clinics as needed (Milwaukee, WI - 4111 W Mitchell St and Milwaukee, WI - 7878 N 76th St)

Pay Range:

$22.90 - $37.95

Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $24.10- $30.10 for an MA or $25.30 - $31.60 for an LPN and will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training.

Licensure or Certifications

  • MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within45 daysunless department leader has determined it is notrequired.

  • GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.

As aMedicalAssistant/LPN,you'llplay a vital roleinthe care team - supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:

  • Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
  • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
  • Prepare patients for exams andassistproviders during procedures.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
  • Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Pay Structure: For Medical Assistants the pay starts between $22-23/hr. For LPN the pay starts between $24.50-25.50/hr. Pay is determined by experience and qualifications of the position. Leaders may be willing to offer more with prior direct experience in the role.

About This Location: Aurora Occupational Health - Milwaukee (4111 W. Mitchell St.)
An outpatient occupational medicine clinic that focuses on employee health and workplace injury care. Services include workers' compensation, work-related injury treatment, pre-employment and return-to-work physicals, drug and alcohol testing, health screenings, immunizations, and employee wellness programs. The clinic works closely with employers, HR teams, and case managers to support safe return-to-work plans and workforce health. Located within the Aurora Health Center alongside other outpatient services.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twistfrequentlythroughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
  • Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch withabilityto use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
  • Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
  • Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
  • May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must bewornas necessary.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  • Physical Abilities Testing may berequired.
  • Additionaldepartment specific physical requirements may beidentifiedfor unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
