About the Position
Please note this role is for a proposal and is subject to a contract award.
LIVE is seeking a qualified professional to support the Air Force Criminal Justice Information Center (AFCJIC) under the Department of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI). AFCJIC serves as DAF's central entity for requesting, receiving, auditing, correcting, integrating, and reporting criminal history records. This is a non-personal services position performed on-site at the Russell-Knox Building, Quantico, VA. Core duty hours are 0800-1600, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The Auditor is a designated Key Personnel role responsible for conducting comprehensive records audits of criminal justice information systems and ensuring compliance with FBI CJIS policy.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Conduct comprehensive records audits of Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) systems use, including monthly and annual validations and user audits.
โ€ข Audit AFCJIC Major Command (MAJCOM) team records and entries to ensure compliance with established processes.
โ€ข Engage with inspection entities (e.g., OSI/IG, AFSFC, MAJCOM/IG) to assist with Unit Effectiveness Inspections (UEI) and Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) for indexing compliance.
โ€ข Generate and provide analytical reports on audit compliance results in collaboration with the Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) Data Manager.
โ€ข Coordinate with AFCJIC MAJCOM teams to identify and mitigate real-time compliance risks.
โ€ข Assist the DAF CJIS Systems Officer (CSO) in conducting virtual and on-site terminal audits for compliance with FBI CJIS Security Policy.
โ€ข Execute legacy record remediation projects to identify and reconcile duplicative, incomplete, or unsupported records in III, NICS, and NCIC.
Requirements
โ€ข Minimum 5 years' experience conducting audits.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply criminal justice policies, regulations, and SOPs.
โ€ข Strong analytical and reporting skills.
โ€ข U.S. Citizenship required.
Security & Clearance Requirements
โ€ข Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility required.
โ€ข Must successfully pass a law enforcement records check.
โ€ข Must possess sufficient knowledge and experience in law enforcement, legal, or compliance fields to ensure accurate interpretation of criteria and proper handling of information.
โ€ข Must handle Privacy Act Information (PAI), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES) information in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations (DoDI 5200.48, Privacy Act of 1974).
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Prior experience auditing FBI CJIS systems (III, NICS, NCIC).
โ€ข Familiarity with DAF or DoD law enforcement records environments.
