UNC Hospitals Department of Audiology is seeking a full-time Clinical Audiologist to provide outpatient diagnostic audiology services across the lifespan at multiple locations, including:

  • Orange County: UNC Hospitals Hearing & Voice Clinic at Carolina Crossing
  • Chatham County: UNC Hospitals Audiology at Pittsboro
  • Wake County: UNC Audiology Services at Cary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced audiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic audiologic services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a collaborative academic medical center environment. The role will focus on the assessment, diagnosis, and management of hearing and balance disorders through evidence-based audiologic evaluation and patient-centered care.This is a full-time (40 hours/week), daytime position. Strong collaborative communication skills and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic and advanced diagnostic audiologic evaluations across the lifespan
  • Conduct behavioral, physiologic, and electrophysiologic assessments as clinically indicated
  • Interpret and analyze test results to develop patient-centered treatment recommendations
  • Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss, communication needs, and management options
  • Collaborate closely with otolaryngologists and other healthcare professionals in the evaluation and management of hearing and balance disorders
  • Participate in student education and clinical training activities as appropriate

Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Audiology program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed as an Audiologist by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
BLS within 3 months of hire date.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Audiologist experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skills
Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes.
