Program Manager (Journeyman) Audiovisual (AV) Systems
Position Overview

Client is seeking a midlevel Program Manager with audiovisual (AV) systems experience to provide programlevel oversight, coordination, and governance of AV initiatives across District facilities.
For this role, Journeyman refers to a midlevel professional, typically with 610 years of experience managing technology or AVrelated programs or portfolios. This position focuses on overseeing and coordinating multiple related initiatives, aligning stakeholders, managing dependencies, and ensuring successful delivery across the AV program. This is not a handson installation or technician role.
The selected contractor will manage schedules, vendors, priorities, and reporting for AV initiatives to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with District standards and operational needs.
Core Responsibilities
  • Provide programlevel leadership for multiple AV initiatives across client facilities
  • Coordinate and align related AV efforts to ensure consistency with program objectives, timelines, and available funding
  • Develop and maintain highlevel program plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk tracking
  • Provide oversight and direction for AV initiatives, including:
    • Classroom instructional technology
    • Conference room and meeting space AV
    • Video conferencing and hybrid collaboration systems
    • Digital signage and presentation systems
  • Coordinate work among internal client teams, facilities staff, vendors, and AV integrators
  • Ensure AV initiatives comply with District policies, cybersecurity requirements, accessibility standards, and operational guidelines
  • Monitor delivery risks, resource constraints, and crossinitiative dependencies
  • Review vendor performance and address escalated technical, schedule, or scope issues
  • Support site coordination, readiness assessments, testing, and acceptance activities as required

  • Proven experience overseeing multiple related initiatives within a technology, AV, or infrastructure program
  • Demonstrated experience managing AV, IT, or technology programs in complex environments
  • Strong ability to coordinate vendors and crossfunctional stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of AV systems at a program and integration level (audio, video, control, conferencing, and network dependencies)
  • Experience managing schedules, reporting, documentation, and deliverables across multiple workstreams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and dependencies in active operational environments
Preferred Qualifications
