Job description


The Audio Visual (A/V) Manager is responsible for leading the property's Audio Visual team and overseeing all audiovisual and technical operations in support of guest events, meetings, entertainment, and business functions. This role ensures the effective planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality A/V services while maintaining exceptional customer service and technical excellence. The A/V Manager oversees departmental budgets, manages vendor relationships, and ensures the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of all audiovisual equipment and systems. Additionally, this position develops team members, drives operational efficiency, and ensures all events and technical requirements are executed seamlessly to enhance the overall guest experience and support the property's business objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Manages all lighting design requests.
  • Works in conjunction with Entertainment Technicians to manage all electric and audio work on property.
  • Responsible for all audio visual wires in the hotel, casino, audio and electrical.
  • Monitors event performance to ensure production meets standards.
  • Oversees the maintenance and repairs of systems and equipment.
  • Responsible for the account numbers assigned by the department leader and is empowered to use monies in the department cost center for the procurement of equipment, repairs, etc. ensuring a smooth, efficient operation.
  • Serves as a team leader for team members while fostering teamwork, positive employee morale, motivation, and open communication.
  • Acts as a role model and coaches while developing team members using a consistent, approachable demeanor, and clearly articulating expectations.
  • Provides direction and support for all staff to achieve Caesars New Orleans goals and objectives through the fair application of all policies and procedures.
  • Strives to improve and streamline departmental operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes, and program effectiveness/value.
  • Allocates resources to outlets that create value to our guests and to Caesars New Orleans.
  • Provides appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained.
  • Ensures that each team member clearly understands and is held accountable for their respective performance expectations.
  • Helps to maintain and enhance a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for our guests and employees.
  • Additional projects as assigned by the property leaders

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in theater electronics, computer systems, with specialization in one or more of the following areas: lighting, audio and visual equipment operation, maintenance and repair, lighting design and operation; sound system design and operation, stage electronics, stage lighting and stage sound reinforcement.
  • Minimum 5+ years in a professional and/or non-professional work in entertainment/theatrical production or as a master electrician or sound engineer required.
  • Strong supervision and communication skills required.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, lounges, entertainment sets and back of the house areas.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds for periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, twist and grip items while working.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
