Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end support and management of existing Audio-Visual (AV) systems, troubleshoot, identify issues and trends, recommend solutions and enhancements.
  • Maintain a thorough inventory of AV equipment and supplies, monitors the replacement of non-working hardware.
  • Reads and interprets construction drawings, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and AV schematics for new builds.
  • Install, maintain and support Digital Audio Recording software, work with databases and ensure up time.
  • Build Digital recording computers, ensure recording files upload to a central database, travel to site locations to perform upgrades and hardware replacements.
  • Oversee project work with AV vendors to ensure installations adhere to industry best practices, serve as mentor and train junior administrators and users.
  • Perform AV system commissioning, ensure systems meet deliverables and requirements.
  • Provide real-time support for local and remote customers with technical issues over phone/conference platforms, or in person.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to obtain DOJ Public Trust Clearance
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience with deep understanding of AV systems
  • Experience working with VIQ or similar recording software and building recording systems.
  • Experience terminating, configurating, and knowledge of Creston, Cisco VTC Endpoints, BIAMP, Extron and other professional AV equipment.
  • Knowledge of audio DSPs Management, control systems, video over IP.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complexed AV/VTC/WebEx problems and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Working knowledge of AV systems with automated integrated VTC systems.

  • Avixa AV Technologist
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
  • Certified Technology Specialist - Installation (CTS-I)
