Job Description
Job Summary: The Audio-Visual Foreman will oversee the installation and maintenance of audio-visual systems in commercial settings. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and leada team of AV technicians in the installation, configuration, andmaintenance of AV systems.
  • Ensure allinstallations meet company standards and client specifications.
  • Read and interpretblueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Coordinate withproject managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure projecttimelines and budgets are met.
  • Troubleshoot andresolve technical issues on-site.
  • Maintain inventoryof commercial equipment and supplies in vans and warehouse.
  • Ability tomaintain project schedules, reports, job tracking and work orders.
  • Ability to manage2-8 technicians and/or subcontractors across multiple projects and sitessimultaneously.
  • Train and mentorjunior technicians.
  • Ensure compliancewith safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist incommercial project installations.
  • Assist in careerpath for commercial technicians

โ€ข Assist with tracking to ensure jobs are being entered in the time sheet database correctly. Insure all assigned daily tasks and ensuring projects are done correct and timely fashion.
โ€ข Assist with problem resolution, complete interfacing with the project managers and sales team.
  • Familiarizeyourself with each project scope, drawings, and contract, gaining anoverall knowledge of the systems functionality and the terms of thecontract
  • Oversee commercialequipment rack building:Quality, wire routing, racks are wiredaccording to plans, racks go out the door ready to go.Ensure racksare ready for the cloud (power and network)
  • Monitor projectjob stack regularly to ensure there are no material delivery hold-ups.Enforce the sign-in / sign-out procedures (Warehouse docs above jobstacks).
  • Neat and legiblelabeling of wires and components according to company standards
  • Experience withtermination including RJ45, DB9, HD15, RCA, BNC, and other compression,crimp or solder on terminations. Fiber termination, installation, andsplicing a plus.
  • Understanding ofhow to trim-out basic in-wall/in-ceiling speakers with or without preconstruction brackets, phone ports, data ports - I.E.RJ-11, RJ-45jacks/ wires, and other basic equipment.Insuring all trim-outproducts are straight/level and lined up correctly.Laser level is amust on in-wall and on wall installations.
  • Ability to rackmount most equipment, lacing rear bars in proper places, and rack railsalong with terminating basic power to a power strip, labeling all cablesand components.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 yearsof experience in the audio-visual industry, with at least 2 years in asupervisory role.
  • Proficiency ininstalling and configuring AV systems, including projectors, displays,sound systems, and control systems.
  • Strongunderstanding of low voltage wiring, signal flow, and AV systemintegration.
  • Excellentleadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to workindependently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver'slicense and reliable transportation.
  • Relevantcertifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) are a plus.
