Event Production Assistant


John Knox Village is seeking a Per Diem Event Production Assistant to ensure that residents, guests, employees and visitors enjoy wonderful events, shows and activities due to the acoustics, visual aids and room set up. This is an exciting and dynamic position that involves planning, organization and good communication skills.


As a Set-Up Coordinator you will:

  • Ensure that events, including sound, lights and backstage are prepared and tested prior to event start time.
  • You will attend daily stand-up meetings to make sure you are up to date on all events and shows that are being planned and organized at John Knox Village.
  • Complete of setups (tables, chairs, A/V equipment, decorations) and making sure that Lighting, sound, staging and video equipment is operational at all times.

We would like to speak to those who have 2+ year's experience working as theatrical or A/V technician, activities or related field. Also must be proficient with basic sound, video, staging and lighting coordination with a good understanding of technology (computers, power point, videos). You must have the ability to set up and break down tables, chairs, equipment, climb ladders and be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. Please be available to work flexible schedule since events are scheduled 7 days/week.
