Audio-Visual Systems Engineer

We have an immediate opening for an Audio-Visual Systems Engineer. Our ideal candidate will have three to five yearsโ experience troubleshooting, servicing and installing Audio Visual systems.
Responsibilities:
โข Troubleshoot & diagnose Audio visual equipment failures, resolving problems and/or identifying equipment in need of replacement or manufacturer repair
โข Provide onsite support and troubleshooting of control systems, DSP systems, projection systems, display devices and signal switching
โข Work remotely with Control and DSP programmers to commission, debug and troubleshoot systems in-house and onsite
โข Initiate Manufacturerโs RMAs and coordinate resolution with clients, office and vendors
โข Install and configure wired and wireless Audio and Control network systems and microphones
โข Assist in configuring web conferencing applications (Go-to meeting, Webex, Skype, BlueJeans)
โข Work with clients to coordinate functionality of wired and wireless data networks, to support video conferencing, VOIP, streaming media and control systems
โข Read and understand AV system drawings and project documentation
โข Report directly to Project Managers and Team Leaders. Provide daily updates on project status
โข Collaboratively communicate with managers and co-workers
Required Qualifications:
โข 3-5 yearsโ experience with commercial AV integration
โข InfoComm CTS-I strongly desired, manufacturer certifications a plus, but not required
โข Understanding of control and video distribution, structured cabling, equipment rack fabrication and terminations, including soldering, CAT5/6 and other common AV connectors
โข Experience working with Crestron, Polycom, Cisco, Extron and AMX systems
โข Experience in creating and deploying site files for SoundStructure, BiAmp and ClearOne audio DSP systems
โข Basic networking skills
โข Manufacturer certifications a plus
โข Familiarity with low-voltage disciplines (CCTV, Access Control, Network Cabling, etc.) a plus
โข Have patience, determination, discipline and maturity to manage time and effectively handle stressful situations, should they arise
โข Ability to understand and follow base building and electrical blueprints
โข Must be a team player, have a professional demeanor with strong verbal communication skills
โข Must have a desire to take ownership and responsibility for quality workmanship
โข Must have a High School Diploma or GED (Technical Diploma, B.A. or A.A. a plus)
โข Be willing to work overtime evenings and weekends from time to time as necessary
โข Physical requirements: ability to lift moderately heavy equipment, stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, crawl under tables and have full hand dexterity to meet the physical demands of the position
