Job description

Description
As an Audio-Visual Technician, a typical day might include the following:
  • Providing audio reinforcement, lighting or video enhancement for live events
  • Assisting production crews as directed
  • Performing load-in and load out of band equipment and rental equipment when necessary
  • Setting-up and breaking-down all production equipment necessary for the event
  • Assisting touring crew with providing house stands, microphones, cables, etc
  • Assisting with maintenance and repair of sound, light, video and stage equipment
  • Interacting with visiting production crew to ensure a successful show by using strong interpersonal skills
  • Operating systems pertaining to audio, lighting, and/or video throughout the entire venue
  • Cabling and patching of microphones, DIs, and assisting with backline set-up if needed
  • If necessary, assisting the production manager and live sound engineer with technical advance specific to your position
  • Assisting with any special events operations in any of the previous mentioned capacity
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
  • At least 1 year previous experience in a similar role in high-volume live event production
  • Experience with pro audio, lighting, and/or video systems
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
  • You are able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level and extreme lighting changes
  • Knowledge and proficiency in digital mixing consoles and routing systems required. Midas Consoles/Q-SYS Processing systems experience preferred
  • Knowledge and proficiency in professional lighting control required. Obsidian Onyx control experience preferred
  • Knowledge and proficiency in professional video systems required. Kramer video routing experience preferred
