Job Title - Audio Video (AV) Engineer - AVIXA Certified Location - Boston, MA , San Diego, CA & Providence, RI Contract Job Description We are seeking an experienced Audio Video (AV) Engineer with AVIXA certification to support enterprise AV infrastructure, conference room technologies, and unified communication environments across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AV system integration, troubleshooting, installation, and support for corporate environments. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, install, configure, and support enterprise Audio Visual systems
  • Manage conference room technologies including video conferencing and collaboration tools
  • Troubleshoot AV hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Support platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Cisco Webex
  • Configure and maintain AV control systems including Crestron, Extron, and AMX
  • Coordinate AV deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities
  • Work closely with network, facilities, and IT teams for seamless AV operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks
  • Document AV configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Provide onsite and remote user support for executive meetings and events

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • AVIXA certification preferred (CTS / CTS-I / CTS-D)
  • Strong experience with Audio Video systems and Unified Communications
  • Hands-on experience with Crestron, Extron, Poly, Biamp, QSC, or Cisco AV technologies
  • Experience supporting Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and Webex solutions
  • Knowledge of AV networking, signal flow, DSPs, and cabling standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot audio, video, and control system issues independently
  • Familiarity with rack installation, system commissioning, and documentation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
